Physical therapy
made easy
Fizio’s goal is to provide physical therapy for those who struggle with the care’s accessibility or simply lack time. How does it work?
The platform enables online consultations with therapy providers, share videos instructing on the training plans, and ensures easy billing process using medical programs such as Medicare or Medicaid, as well as offers a fee-for-service model. Fizio wanted to implement one platform for all types of users, to streamline and centralize the healthcare workflow.
They chose ProjectUX because of our experience in cooperating with Startups that need to translate complex MVPs into a fully functional product that needs to be ready for taking on new customers.
Fizio also needed a design agency that can build the website and have experience in taking ownership of the handoff process as well as supporting developers in building the end product.
Map out what’s important
Firstly, we needed to make sure that the advanced AI and computer vision in the product would play the main role. We graded features according to their functionality and importance for each user, and made sure that the most crucial ones can be easily accessed depending on the user’s role on the platform. Collaboration with Fizio’s business team helped us build clear information architecture that can support all users and meet all set business goals.
Information architecture
Fizio needed simple information architecture for complex processes.
Set the flow
User journey maps
As Fizio has three different user types: a patient, service provider (a physiotherapist), and an admin, i.e. care organization, we needed to create user flows with various goals and prioritizing different functionalities in mind. Having established clear information architecture helped us sketch user journey maps and make sure that they are as intuitive as possible.
Put it all together
UI design
Once we had context on business importance, clear vision of the information architecture, and the user flows with intuitive UX, we started designing the platform’s UI. As Fizio is used for video consultations, therapy analysis, booking visits, sharing information on patient’s health and progress; the platform needed to work intuitively across various devices. Responsiveness of screens was a crucial objective, hence we provided UI adjusting to numerous breakpoints, including desktop, tablet, and mobile. The next stage was design handoff during which we collaborated with developers to make sure that our solutions can be implemented appropriately.
